Biglift Courses
Offshore Pedestal Crane Training
This course is for those personnel that have no or limited experience in offshore pedestal crane operation. It also assumes that the student does not have a basic understanding of offshore production operations and understands basic rigging practices.
Duration:
The duration of this course and assessment is dependant on delegate experience. The assessment is a mixture of both theory and practical.
Crane Supervisor
A two day course aimed at those with a basic understanding of cranes and lifting procedures with the intention of the role of a ‘Crane supervisor’ included in there job profile.
Duration:
2 days. Delegates may obtain certification to ‘Appointed Person’ by attending a further third day within 2 years.
Lifting and Slinging (Practical)
For those who want to have 'hands on' knowledge and training and are responsible for the safe use of lifting equipment used within their operational environment.
Duration:
Is based on the candidates level of experience and could vary between 1-5 days
Lifting Gear Examination
Users of lifting gear and those involved in the inspection of statutory examination of lifting gear in service. It is also suitable for those who are involved with the everyday inspection of equipment.
Duration:
3 days
Lifting Operations Instructor
This course is aimed at employees who have been selected to carry out ‘in-house’ instruction on lifting equipment.
Duration:
5 days
Management of Lifting Operations
Those with a basic understanding of lifting equipment and are responsible for supervision of plant equipment on site, and understand the practical aspects of lifting and slinging operations (Banksmen/Slingers, Supervisors, Managers etc).
Duration:
2 days
Mobile Crane Operator/Specific Crane Training (All Types)
The aim of the course is to train selected delegates in the safe operation and use of mobile cranes in their workplace.
Duration:
1-5 days (depending on experience)
Mobile Elevated Work Platforms Safety Awareness
Courses for delegates with experienced or novices. Courses are designed to meet client needs and delivered on-site as and when required.
Duration:
1 day for experienced or 2 days for novices
Safe Operation of an Overhead Travelling Crane
To train selected delegates in the safe use of overhead travelling cranes in their workplace. Two separate courses are available to meet the needs of those with floor controls or cab controls.
Duration:
1 day for experienced operatives and 2-5 days for those with little experience.
