The New Year has seen some significant developments in Biglift’s business in East Africa, an area where we have already worked with a number of local utiliities and service providers. Following an invitation to undertake crane inspection and training work, we have now formed a Joint Venture with East Africa Chains to provide these services within Uganda and more widely across the region. Such is the volume and significance of the new business, Biglift have contracted two specialist staff to work continously in the region under the direct supervision of Biglift MD Sean McLaughlin. Biglift confidently expects this new work to expand, with forthcoming contracts in both Uganda and Kenya. This is another major contribution to our planned international business development, and will contribute to the achievement of our ambitious income targets for 2012. Regular updates on this new venture will follow.
