Biglift supports Exxon Mobil in Chad

Building on our recent international growth, Biglift MD Sean McLaughlin has undertaken two important missions to Chad since the start of 2012.  This work has been as a key subcontractor to PSN Wood Group, supporting maintenance and operations at a remote Exxon Mobil oil refinery facility.  The main focus of this work was to train new Exxon Mobil staff to operate the site’s 140t Terex Demag mobile crane following staffing changes.  Following the successful completion of initial training, Sean was invited to return to the site in order to supervise lifting operations associated with planned annual maintenance work on the site’s main turbine, valued at £3.5m.  This work was completed on schedule, and demonstrates Biglift’s ability to respond quickly to operator requirements, and to undertake work in remote locations which larger providers frequently prefer to avoid.
